2019 Iro

This was my first attempt at a clay/cloth doll so I kept the features very simple. I gave him a round face with a lot of flat planes and "mitten" hands. I thought a simple face like the one in my illustration LoveSick would look good but I actually really hated it. LOL

I wasn't going off of any tutorials. I thought it was pretty straightforward so,,, I made rectangle pieces for the limbs and a weird blob shape for the torso. I did a lot of pinching and ladder stitches to get to the actual shape I wanted (especially on the torso) and then I realized I had no idea how to put the legs on???? He doesn't sit well and he has a comically flat butt (c-canon...?????!!)

I wanted to make him a pink Gatsby suit but, , , well, I blamed the fabric at first but I think it's just my terrible stitching. I decided to scrap the pink suit and just pretend I was making a LoveSick Iro doll this whole time.
I shortened the length of his arms and made him new detailed hands. He has a knife prop that is not removable. His jacket though, IS REMOVABLE, but you'll have to rip his knife hand off. I also found a paint more closer to his skin tone so I repainted him.
